今日も暑いです

Actually, it is hot everyday!!
こんな日は、天ぷらが食べたくなりますね～
I feel like I want to eat tempura.
魚天ぷらと
いか天ぷら
Fish tempura and squid tempura.
もずく天ぷら
Mozuku tempura
野菜天ぷら
Vegetable tempura.
なんだか、天ぷらの様子が違います
お箸
ではなく、手づかみで食べていますね
There is something different about Okinawa tempura…not eating with chopstick? Eating by hand!!
しかも、お店の中じゃなく車の中で食べてる
And also not only eating at restaurants but in the car.
Whaaat?
実は、沖縄での天ぷらの位置づけは「おやつ」なのです。
小腹が空いたときなどに食べる、あの「おやつ」です
”チョコレートドーナツ、ケーキ、魚天ぷら、クッキー、いか天ぷら”
全く、違和感ありませんね
Yes! In Okinawa, tempura is a snack! Like chocolate donuts, cake or cookies.
うちなー天ぷらは、どこで買うことができるのでしょうか？
Where can you buy Uchina tempura?
沖縄では、天ぷら屋さんをあちらこちらで見かけます。
There are a lot of tempura shops, even in neighborhoods.
住宅地の中にも、たくさんありますよ。
価格は５０円～８０円くらいでしょうか？
おやつですものね
お手頃です。
Price is between ５０￠～９０￠ because tempura is a snack so the price is reasonable.
”おばぁの〇〇”って見ると、なんだかそれだけで美味しそうな感じがするものです
うちなー天ぷらは、皆さんが想像する本土の天ぷらとは食感も違います。
Uchina tempura is a different texture from tempura in mainland Japan.
サクサクな食感は、全く求められていません。
衣があつく、フリッターに近い感じですね
It is not crunchy and thickly coated like a fritter.
天つゆも、お塩も必要ありません。
衣に、島マース（塩）でかる～く味付けされているので、
そのままでいけちゃいます
It doesn’t need tempura sauce or salt because it already has enough taste,
少し、うちなーんちゅっぽく食べたいな？
という方にはウスターソースをお勧めいたします
but if you want to eat how Okinawans eat, I recommend you use Worcestershire sauce.
お散歩しながら、まちの中で小腹を満たすのも楽しいですが
It is fun to walk around and find tempura shops and eat
ドライブしながら、うちなー天ぷらを楽しみたいという方には、
沖縄県の南部に位置する奥武島（おうじま）の天ぷらもおすすめです
but if you want to enjoy driving and finding tempura, try going to Ou Island (Ojima) located in southern Okinawa.
観光客の方にも人気がありますよ。
It is popular with tourists too.
こちらでは、注文の時に数量を記入してお店の方に渡します。
You can order how many you want on paper and give to a person from the shop when you order.
